Mittelwest German Shepherd’s state-of-the-art kennels are located in Wonder Lake, Illinois. We are 65 miles Northwest of Chicago, approximately 20 minutes from the Wisconsin border. Our World Class Kennels are located on 40 acres which are surrounded by an additional 120 acres. It is a secluded piece of heaven, 3 blocks down a scenic private drive that is lined with giant White Pine trees.

Fun In The Sun At Mittelwest’s “Dog Beach”
We have a fully stocked pond that is fed by 12 natural springs on the property, where our shepherds can go swimming. The gorgeous property is surrounded by ancient Oaks, Willows, and Pine trees. There is a 7 acre giant Oak Tree Forest on the property where more than 50 trees have flourished for over 100 years. We also have a wonderful large sand beach & dock for you and your shepherd to enjoy.
The kennels are a beautiful, state of the art facility that includes spacious 10 feet by 15 feet heated and air conditioned interior suites each with natural light skylights and ceiling fans which connect to large 15 feet by 30 feet exterior runs so the dogs can come indoors or go outdoors as they please.With the abundance of wildlife and fresh air on this gorgeous land, all of the dogs at Mittelwest are all feeling like the luckiest dogs in the world!
